How to Buy One-of-a-Kind Pittsburgh Gifts
Our photo gallery and
one-of-a-kind Pittsburgh gifts are managed by
Smugmug.com, a great photo service that manages images,
photo printing, and creates unique gifts using the
photos in our gallery.
It's easy to buy a photo print (on paper or canvas)
or a great gift like a desk organizer or tote bag.
Just to make sure you're comfortable with the process,
we have pictures of each step below. Click any
small image to see a large version.
Visit our Photo Gallery
First, visit our Photo Gallery to find the picture
you want. Choose a gallery and browse through the
pictures.
Click the Buy Button
Once you find the picture you want, click the buy
button (red arrow) and choose "This Photo".
Choose Photo Print or Merchandise & Select Quantity
Choose Prints or
Merchandise from the tabs at the top of Smugmug's
cart system. Prints include photographs, metallic
prints, and canvas prints - rolled, mounted, or framed.
Merchandise includes the T-shirts, sweatshirts and
unique gift items like puzzles, keychains, and keepsake
boxes.
Find the items you want in the list and click the +
next to the item to increase the quantities.
Checkout
Once you selected the product or products you want,
click the checkout button in the bottom corner (shown on
the two images above.) That will display the
checkout screen where you can review the products and
photos.
Some photos will need to be cropped to fit the shape
of the item. For example, the mahogany desk
organizer in the image below is square, yet the photo is
rectangular. You must adjust the crop to make certain
that the picture fits onto the item you selected.
The red arrow shows where you click to make the
adjustment.
Crop the Image to Fit
Drag the box around so that the important part of the
picture is displayed in the bright area. In this
example, you can see that the box is square and the
photo is a rectangle. Drag it so that the top of
the Tower of Learning appears in the box. You can
also drag the corners of the box to make the box
smaller. Smugmug will warn you if there is a
problem.
Enter Shipping and Payment Information
Checking out in Smugmug is much like checking out in any web cart.
You'll enter shipping information, choose shipping options, enter payment
information, and confirm your order. Payments are handled securely.
